General description of Amelanchier lamarckii plants:
We love Amelanchier lamarckii. Also known as Snowy Mespilus or Juneberry, it has pretty much everything that you could want in a small tree, with something good to look at almost all of the year round. It has masses of open star shaped white flowers in spring, followed by red-purple edible fruit in summer. In Autumn, the foliage turns a brilliant orange-red colour. Amelanchier lamarckii can be grown as part of an informal garden hedge, in a shrub border or as a well behaved small specimen tree.
