Spartan Apple Trees

Malus domestica Spartan - Eating Apples

Browse all our apple trees here or read our guide to buying the right apple tree.

Spartan is a little apple - kids love them. It is a dark shiny red eating apple with crisp white flesh that is best eaten straight off the tree as it softens with storage - although it is an excellent juicing apple fresh or stored.

Spartan apple Trees- are pretty disease resistant - good against scab and mildew, they are easy to grow and they are outstanding pollinators.  Spartan is partially self-fertile and flowers - and crops late. For a list of suitable apple for cross pollination have a look at our Guide to Fruit Pollination. Use October-January
