Discovery Apple - Eating Apple

Browse all our apple trees here or read our guide to buying the right apple tree.

Discovery - Malus domestica is probably the best early eater along with Beauty of Bath Apples . It has excellent texture and flavour - crisp, juicy and sweet. In fact so juicy that the Discovery apple is an excellent juicer. The tree's compact size makes it ideal for smaller gardens. Discovery has an early flowering season and needs to be grown in the company of another pollinator or self-fertile apple for both to fruit.

Take a look at our Guide to Fruit Pollination for more information on apple and fruit pollination and for suitable cross-pollination partners for Discovery. Use late Aug - early September.

Please note that our bushes, half standards and maidens are on MM106 rootstocks while our cordons are on M9 which we believe is the best rootstock for this purpose for this variety.
