How to make Elderflower Cordial:
Read our homemade Elderflower cordial recipe here.
The process just uses hot water to extract the delicious flavour of the fresh Elderflowers.
The mixture is left to blend with a bit of citrus fruit & sugar for 4-5 days into a cordial.

How much Elderflower cordial can I make with this kit?
You can re-use the tubs for life, making several batches of fresh cordial each season without any of the preservatives for drinking. This fresh cordial can be refrigerated, given away and drunk over the course of a few weeks.
Each kit & refill pack is enough to make 20 litres / 36 pints of Elderflower cordial that will last for the whole year without refrigeration, so drink up the fresh stuff first and save the preserved cordial for later!

What is a Campden Tablet?
They are widely used for making wine, cider and beer as well as non-alcoholic drinks that will be stored for a long time.
They do 2 things: stop the growth of wild yeasts that ferment sugar into alcohol and force out chlorine from the water.
This makes the Elderflower last for a long time without going fizzy and taste a bit better.

They are totally safe, but do not use more than the required dose or they will affect the flavour.
For making Elderflower cordial, one tablet per gallon (8 pints or 4.5 litres) is the correct amount.
