Junifer Redcurrants

Junifer crops appreciably earlier than Rovada, starting in early July. Ideal for redcurrant gluttons. Unusually for a redcurrant Junifer will carry fruit on both this and last years wood. The fruit is tasty - although the flavour is not as strong as Rovada - but the plants are very high yielding.

Junifer redcurrants should be spaced at 1.40 metres between plants in each row row and about 1.5 metres between the rows themselves.

Please note that (obviously apart from cordon redcurrants) all our currant bushes have at least 2 stems when lifted.
