Malus domestica Jupiter

Browse all our apple trees here or read our guide to buying the right apple tree.

Jupiter is an intensely flavoured juicy apple with textured flesh and red/orange skin. It was bred from Cox's Orange Pippin crossed with Starking Delicious in 1966, is a good substitute for a Cox's - and is easier to grow. Jupiter is a tall - as opposed to flattened apple with firm flesh and a distinctive acid taste.

Jupiter is a late flowering triploid - please remember that triploids need pollination and are incapable of returning the compliment.... If you would like to see the apples that will pollinate Jupiter, take a look at our List of Apple Tree Pollinators

Jupiter crops late and is an excellent keeper so you can use it from October-January.

As with all potted trees, you must water your tree until leaf drop in autumn - a thorough soaking once a week is good, even if there is some rain.
