Kanzan Flowering Cherry
Kanzan, sometimes called Kwanzan is a vigorous flowering cherry tree with an upright habit when young. Kanzan carries attractive bronze young foliage that turns dark green as it matures. The leaves contrast well with the masses of rich pink flowers produced in late spring. In a final flourish, they colour beautifully before falling in Autumn.
Please remember that whether you grow a cherry as a blossom tree or you have fruiting varieties, pruning is the same in both cases. To reduce the risk of bacterial canker any pruning or remedial work should be done in summer and all wounds should be painted with a pruning compound afterwards. To 10m
