Norway Maple Hedge Plants - Delivered by Mail Order from the Nursery with a 1 Year Guarantee

Norway Maple trees, Acer platanoides, are decent hedging plants. Grown as a tree, they will become quite large and round headed, with a lovely warm yellow autumn display.
Norway Maple can be grown as a hedge, but native Field maple is cheaper and just as good for this.
It will reach 25 metres if it grows freely as a tree, spreading up to 20 metres wide in time.
The plants on this page are young saplings, ideal for planting as hedging or in woodland projects. You can also buy larger Norway Maple trees here.

General description of Norway Maple plants:
It produces yellow-green flowers in April, just before the leaves break, which are pollinated by bees. The large, glossy green summer foliage colours beautifully in autumn. This large tree is usually grown as a specimen in parks and big gardens, but it is suitable for a clipped hedge.

History & uses of Acer platanoides:
This tree has been naturalised in Britain for a very long time. Its native range is all over Europe.
