Pyracantha Golden Charmer

Pyracantha Golden Charmer is an upright evergreen screening and hedge plant. As with the rest of the Pyracantha family, Golden Charmer has serious thorns which are well concealed behind masses of white flowers in spring, huge numbers of golden yellow berries in autumn and winter and glossy, neat dark green leaves all through the year. Pyracantha grows in pretty much any soil, is a really good choice in shady and windy spots and clips beautifully as a hedge plant or when grown against a wall, trellis or fence. Once established it is vandal proof. In August, trim new growth to about three leaves in front of the ripening berries for a better display of fruit in Autumn.

Best pruned in winter, when new growth can be cut back hard to encourage bushiness and flowering.

Good for hedges to 250+cms - 8'+ when it should be planted at 2 per metre in a single row.
