Flamencostrawberry plants are the best everbearer strawberries. They have an enormously long cropping season, from the middle of July right through to the first frosts. The strawberries are well coloured, well above medium sized and have a smashing flavour. The flesh is firm, which makes it a good freezer (although Totem is still the best in the freezer). Having said which, they are all going to be eaten fresh anyway....
Flamenco has good disease resistance and is well suited to matted row cultivation - where runners are allowed to root in amongst the older plants forming a solid strip of fruiting plants so yields can be considerable even from a small area. We suggest initial planting at 100 cms between rows and 30-40 cms between plants.
Flamenco strawberry plants can yield in excess of 1kg (2lbs) per plant
