Willow Trees

Varieties of Willow Trees - Salix Species

Willows can be very large shrubs or small to medium sized trees. They are vigorous, water loving plants that thrive in wet, boggy soil that would drown most other trees.
The Willows we grow can reach between 7 - 25 metres tall.

Willow hedging: Salix viminalis and Salix purpurea are the only willows that can sensibly be used as rough, country hedge plants. They are too vigorous to be kept tidy, but they will quickly create a wide, bushy screen up to 5-7 metres high. If you want a neater wetland hedge, we recommend using Common or Red dogwood plants.

Willow hybrids are extremely vigorous and are grown for biomass fuel. We deliver unrooted hybrid willow cuttings (called setts) of Q83.

You could not have handled my problem better, which encourages me to order from your Company in future which will hopefully prove I was just unlucky with some of my order. Knowing you will try to rectify matters if they do go wrong is the best anyone can do. Many thanks again Joseph Green
