Cotoneaster horizontalis Hedge Plants - Delivered by Mail Order from the Nursery with a 1 Year Guarantee

Cotoneaster horizontalis is an attractive, low growing ground cover shrub. It's a bit too short to make a proper hedge, but it can be grown as a dense mound up to waist height.
Cotoneaster horizontalis will grow to about 1 metre high.
Browse all of our other varieties of Cotoneaster shrubs & trees.

Cotoneaster horizontalis hedge plants are delivered bareroot during winter (Nov-March) and pot-grown year round. Bareroot shrubs are cheaper than pot grown plants.
All our hedge plants are measured by their height in centimetres above the ground (the roots or pots aren't measured).

Spacing a Cotoneaster horizontalis hedge:
Plant Cotoneaster horizontalis hedging at 3 plants per metre, 33cms apart.

General description of Cotoneaster horizontalis plants:
Perfect for growing along the bottom walls or as cover for verges and banks, this pretty shrub looks great late in the year when its lovely autumn foliage contrasts with its fruit, which it often carries well into the New Year. It is shade tolerant and will grow well underneath taller trees.

History & uses of Cotoneaster horizontalis:
This Chinese plant was brought to Europe in the 1870's by a French missionary. It has won an RHS award of garden merit.
