What is a Standard Sized Fruit Tree?

A standard fruit tree is the biggest delivery size and it is well on its way to becoming an adult tree with delivered height of about 1.6-1.8 metres and a final height of between 4 and 5 metres.

We grow half-standards - these are the perfect size for getting a big crop that can be harvested with a large ladder - any bigger and you would need to use a picking crane.

Ideal for orchards and larger gardens.

The fastest way to get a big fruit tree. Might be too big for a small garden.
Will grow large for you to drive a lawnmower underneath it easily.  

Our advice:
If you want a nice big fruit tree, go for a half-standard. But if space is tight - perhaps you really want two different trees - consider using a bush shaped tree.
