• Update on our ‘Plant a tree, make air for free’ schools project!


    Over the last week or so, primary and middle schools in Somerset and Dorset have been busy planting new trees donated by Ashridge Nurseries. In total, over 2,500 new trees will be planted!

    Our ‘Plant a tree, make air for free’ project was inspired by the national Jubilee Tree Planting challenge, which aims to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with the planting of millions of new trees across the UK.

  • Ashridge Nurseries helps South West schools to plant trees for the Queen's Jubilee!

    Ashridge Nurseries has donated over 2,500 trees and hedges to schools in the South West, for pupils to plant in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.

    Pupils in the project will wear their 'Plant a tree, make air for free' sticker

    Ranging from Frome in north-east Somerset, to Puddletown in west Dorset, the primary and middle schools have over 1,900 pupils in total, aged between 4 and 13 years old.

    Getting children involved with trees gives them both enjoyment and education. Planting is great outdoors fun, and we're also reminding children of the importance of trees to the environment by giving each pupil a 'Plant a tree, make air for free' sticker.
