{"id":611969466694,"date":"2025-11-13T10:11:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T10:11:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ashridgetrees.co.uk\/blogs\/uncategorized\/tree-planting-national-trust-cornwall-penrose\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T08:41:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T08:41:52","slug":"tree-planting-national-trust-cornwall-penrose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ashridgetrees.co.uk\/blogs\/trees\/tree-planting-national-trust-cornwall-penrose\/","title":{"rendered":"Plant a Tree in Cornwall this Winter"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>If you are nothing like me, you are keen to travel at your expense to plant a tree for someone else, then go home and never see the blooming tree again<\/h2>\n<p>Naturally, dear Reader, the reason for this is your noble character and love for the Cornish countryside, but who could say no to a fun Winter trip to Penrose, the area around Loe Pool, Cornwall&#8217;s largest lake? <br>Me, obviously, but I am not the topic here, this is about those poor young trees who are only looking for a better life.<\/p>\n<p>There will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/visit\/cornwall\/penrose\/events\/b3af1211-f8ab-4b65-b462-bd28dd00e6ec\">National Trust Tree Planting Events at Penrose<\/a> running from <strong>November 26th<\/strong> to <strong>January 19th<\/strong>. <br>Places are free, but booking is essential; black tie dress code optional. <br>Honestly, I have no idea what they would do if you showed up unannounced in a tuxedo or suitable length dress for the occasion. <br>It might be awkward at first, but I reckon a charmer like you could probably blag it. It&#8217;s not as if the National Trust Officer is going to set the dogs on you for caring about trees and looking good at the same time.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" walks, some running and cycling, a few caves and canoes, all hopefully with a caf\u00e9 at the end. <br>But events like tree planting are less common, so don&#8217;t miss out!<\/p>\n\n<section
