Description

Lasurstern Clematis

Lasurstern Clematis is a truly exotic looker, covered in enormous flowers up to 25cm in diameter from May to June, with a second flush in September. The blooms are an exquisite shade of clear lavender blue, with deep pleated midribs and crimped edges.

After the show of flowers, the large lime-yellow anthers remain to produce an attractive display of seedheads through the autumn and into winter.

Great for your garden

Lasurstern is a perfect clematis to climb over smaller structures such as trellis or pergolas where it looks particularly good when grown with complimentary coloured roses. It is also vigorous enough to grow through trees or large shrubs.

It was awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit due to its brilliant performance and easy of cultivation.

  • Repeating: Yes
  • Approximate flowering season: May - June, September
  • Final height and spread: 3m x 1m
