I received the Cider Apple trees and the Discovery pollinator this morning in the rain. That has kept them nice and moist as I unwrapped the huge parcel. For maidens, I'd expected trees either 5ft or a bit shorter, similar to ones received from other suppliers in the past. Yours were over 6ft and all in blossom. All in exemplary condition and well-branched. I shall need to put them in deeper pots for the time being, having been doused in rootgrow gell and shakings of the dry rootgrow to give them head start before planting them properly, where they are intended to grow on. I cannot thank you enough as these five trees will last a lifetime. Ashridge trees come highly recommended by me. I now look forward to making my own cider in the years to come.Myra

Just wanted to say thanks. We received our order of 3 silver birch trees this week and thankfully the weather was kind and allowed us to get them in the ground in a timely manner! I just wanted to let you know my plants have arrived today as promised. I have unpacked them and they are wonderful, I am so pleased with them. They are much bigger than I expected and in tip-top condition. Thank you so much. I also think they are really excellent value for money – I buy most of my plants on-line (living in Cornwall the choices are a bit limited) and I had looked for Hydrangea seemannii at my usual on-line supplier but they were so expensive I was a bit put off. Ten pounds per plant more (!) Then I searched around and found you – your plants were considerably cheaper and larger so I was a bit worried they might fall short of the mark. But… absolutely no worries on that front. In fact I bought two seemannii from the other supplier earlier this year (I think they are a very ‘useful’ plant, particularly for someone who lives in a walled garden) so can do a direct comparison. Interestingly, they are smaller than yours now even though they have been in the ground and well cared for, for more than six summer months. Hi all at Ashridge, I just had to write and say thank you for the best Christmas tree I have ever had!! It has and is still stunning! It hasn’t dropped any needles despite being in a warm room. I have given it water regularly but I still can’t believe how amazing a tree it is! For me the most wonderful thing about Christmas is having a tree indoors, I absolutely love a Christmas tree and this one takes the prize as the best ever. Just wanted to say that I received my order of Honeysuckle Darts World and Clematis Jackmanii this morning and that I’m absolutely delighted with not only the quality of the plants but your customer service as well. The honeysuckle has a little grey mould on some of the leaves , probably to do with being in a cardboard box in this beautiful weather, but the packaging was superb and protected the specimens extremely well. When I first placed my order on 26th March I was a bit disappointed that the delivery date was 4 weeks, but you have delivered sooner and taking into account the difficulties raised during the lockdown I think your service is very good. I will tell my friends and neighbours about your service and good quality plants at a competitive price, just hope they don’t overwhelm you ! The story is that I particularly wanted a Box Elder having seen one on Dermot Gavin's high rise garden at Chelsea in 2012, and you were the only nursery that had one for sale. I have fond memories of my tree arriving here in Suffolk in a large lorry beautifully cushioned in bubble wrap. I couldn't wait to get it safely at home in my garden! I think I received the tree in the Autumn. It was about 8 or 9ft tall with just a few sturdy branches; Every year I marvel at the beautiful leaves as they change through their colours, and every year the tree grows more attractive. I am happy for you to use my photos - if good enough - I live on the edge of a wheat field and it's always breezy so getting the tree to stand still is always a problem! I just wanted you to see what a beautiful tree you grew and that I haven't killed it since you handed it over to me! there must be a dedicated plants-man/woman who maybe wonders what has happened to the trees they have lovingly looked after. Thank you so much, Catherine & Co.! The tree arrived this afternoon along with the rhubarb. It was so well-packed that it took me almost an hour to unravel all the tape, bubblewrap and such. The tree looks great. It has had some compost put around its roots in a breathable bag for this evening and the rhubarb root planted in a pot; I won't plant that out until Spring is around the corner. I find they don't like sitting in cold, damp soil over the Winter when establishing. Thank you again for all your kind help and valued advice. I certainly know where to come next time!Ruth
