Delphinium Pacific Giants Astolat

The tall stars of the early summer border, Delphinium Pacific Giants Astolat bears unusual lavender-pink semi-double blooms on tall spires, each flower with a dark centre, or 'bee'. By deadheading, new flower spikes will be produced from side-shoots.

These are the shortest of our delphiniums and at "only" 1.5m tall, they're more compact than traditional varieties, with flowers rising from attractive clumps of deeply cut foliage.

Great In Your Garden...

The semi-double flowers look great in summer arrangements in large vases, especially when mixed with other cottage garden-type blooms. and also in bouquets.

Delphiniums are loved by pollinating insects, so you will have something lovely to look at and you'll be helping out your garden's ecosystem.

Perfect for the back of the border, these cottage garden favourites reach a height of 1.5m, so it's important to stake them and make sure they are in a sheltered position, especially if they are in large pots. Try planting them in a sunny corner or against a wall where plants will get some protection.

Looking for complementary flowers to grow in front of these tall Delphiniums? Take a look at our selection of Cosmos seedlings.
