The Best Dianthus (Pink) Varieties
Dianthus are commonly known as Pinks, which refers to the ragged edges of their petals, not their colour (although many of them are also pink in colour). They will flower just about non-stop from late June to the autumn. They are plants of cliffs and mountains, so they like it dry and are happy in pots. For the same reason, they want plenty of light and can't stand wet roots. They smell heavenly, make lovely cut flowers and are the "gap fillers" in our range of herbaceous plants for sale.
