Description

Geranium Rozanne or Jolly Bee, 2 Litre Potted Plants

If you are looking to add colour and interest to your beds and border throughout the summer and into autumn, then Geranium Rozanne is the ideal perennial for you. This versatile ground cover plant thrives in sun and partial shade, but unlike many perennials it can also tolerate full shade, making it a perfect choice for darker areas such as north-facing borders. Plants are smothered with violet-blue flowers with a white centre set against mounds of deep green foliage. With its beautiful blooms and long flowering season, it's no wonder that Rozanne has achieved a coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit.

In Your Garden Design

Rozanne is the perfect garden companion - blending beautifully with other herbaceous perennials such as catmint, salvia and lavender. As a ground cover layer, it provides a sea of colour beneath taller shrubs like roses, or use it as a specimen plant spilling out of a container to add waves of naturalistic charm to your patio or courtyard.

Did You Know?

Found as a chance seedling in a Somerset garden by Rozanne Waterer and developed by renowned plantsman Adrian Bloom at Bressingham Gardens, she made her first appearance in 2000 and has not looked back since. Voted the Royal Horticultural Society's Plant of the Centenary at the 2013 Chelsea Flower Show, Rozanne's winning attributes include her long-flowering nature, prolific azure blue blooms and ability to thrive in almost all garden situations.

Cultivation Instructions

Geranium Rozanne prefers full sun or partial shade, but will tolerate full shade too. Grows well in any soil type, except waterlogged soils. Works well as ground cover at the front of borders or underplanted with taller shrubs such as roses. Creates a beautiful, naturalistic effect in container displays as the vivid blooms and soft foliage spill over the rim of the pot.

Water plants well until established. Remove faded blooms regularly to promote continuous flowering from early summer until autumn. Divide congested clumps in spring to encourage vigorous growth.
