Pink Snowberry - Bareroot Shrubs

The Pink Snowberry, Symphoricarpos chenaultii, is a vigorous, medium sized, deciduous hedging shrub. It forms dense thickets without any attention and so its often planted to provide cover for game and other wildlife. The white flowers are abundant in summer and ripen into plentiful pink berries. These aren't of much interest to birds, so they decorate the slender, arching branches until the winter frosts. The berries are edible, but they don't have much flavour and eating too many may give you an upset stomach.

Growing Pink Snowberry
This hardy little plant is happy in full shade and will grow in any soil, including chalk. It will grow quite near the sea, as long as it isn't really exposed to salt winds. It easily forms a dense hedge by producing new shoots from suckers below ground, but it isn't an aggressive plant.
Pink Snowberry Hedge Spacing: 3 plants per metre.
