Euonymus ‘Jean Hugues’ is a small, slow growing evergreen shrub that serves the same main purpose as Box, clipped into low hedges or mounds.

Growing Euonymus 'Jean Hugues'
Any well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Drought tolerant when established.
It is hardy and evergreen pretty much throughout Britain, but in a harsher than average Scottish winter it might drop its leaves.
Euonymus are generally pest free and easy to care for. You might occasionally need to tackle pests such as vine weevil and diseases like powdery mildew, but good gardening practices, such as appropriate weeding and feeding, together with our range of organic garden products, will help keep your shrubs healthy and beautiful.

Euonymus is a member of the Staff-vine family of plants, Celastraceae. Euonymus japonicus are evergreen shrubs or small trees, with small flowers followed by colourful fruits.
