Growing Bijou Clematis

Partial shade is fine, so any aspect except North facing will do, but you will get noticeably more flowers in full sun.

Pruning Group 3: Cut the stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.

Did you know?

Bred by a partnership of Raymond J Evison OBE, owner of The Guernsey Clematis Nursery, and Poulsen Roser. The working name was Thumbelina (registration code Evipo030), but Bijou was chosen by the time it was introduced at the 2004 Chelsea Flower Show. It is part of the Tudor Patio Collection of dwarf Clematis, along with Filigree and Darcy.
