There are times when limited use of heavy-duty garden chemicals is called for. For daily problems, most of us prefer to deal with pests and diseases as "naturally" as possible by supporting the wildlife that keeps them in check and, when necessary, using the least toxic products to control them.
There are also times when crops of fruit and vegetables need a boost, or generally to help your trees and shrubs establish while the soil is being improved gradually with the use of homemade fertilisers, compost, mulch, manure etc.
This group of organic pest and disease control products and fertilisers is about as good as you can get this side of Korean Natural Farming.

Using organic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers in your garden will give you warm toasty feelings, and your plants will thrive.Should I use Chemicals in my Garden?
Garden chemicals are great to have on hand for certain tasks, making life so much easier, but of course people did garden without them for centuries!
Take fertilisers, for example. If you had the luxury of endless compost, well rotted manure, and free woodchips, you generally don't need more fertiliser, unless you were working with very poor soil, growing demanding vegetables, or growing giant Dahlias for competition.
But what about all the gardeners working with small spaces, growing in containers, with scant local resources for free organic matter?
You could opt to grow only super hardy plants that thrive in poor dry soils, but otherwise fertilisers are essential for lush ornamental or edible plants in pots.
Pesticides are a similar story. If you can get ladybirds to eat all your aphids, and toads (and ducks, ha ha) to eat your slugs, that's ideal, but failing that, zapping them will save a lot of plants, especially during Spring when new growth is more vulnerable.
Ultimately, it's your garden, and only you know what's best - still, it's better to have a tool in your garden toolbox and not need it, than not have it and feed your local slugs very expensive meals!
