Growing Sea of Blossom
It is a sun lover that will thrive in any well drained soil, although midday shade is good if your site is both exposed and dry. It is happy on the coast and is a popular choice for rockeries, containers, and crevices in walls.
Did You Know?
The wild species holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit; there is no difference between them in terms of growth, and Sea of Blossom has nicer flowers.
Its native range is Central America, mostly from Mexico down to Panama.
