Description

Oranges and Lemons Floribunda Rose

Oranges and Lemons is a floribunda rose with clusters of vibrant yellow flowers, spatted with earthy orange stripes and dots. The scent is quite mild, with fruity notes. Reliable repeat flowering from July to October. It is thorny and has an arching habit, to 3.5ft.

Bred by Samuel Darragh McGredy IV (1931-2019), probably in 1985, and has been in widespread cultivation since 1993. Originally based in Portadown, Northern Ireland, Mr McGredy moved his nursery to Auckland, New Zealand in 1972 and renamed it McGredy Roses International; his most famous creation is probably Sexy Rexy. The parents are New Year and Umbrella. Its registration code is MACoranlem, and it is sold in other countries as Fifty-Fifty or Papagena.
