Description
Buddleja 'Buzz Ivory': Patio Butterfly Bush, 3-Litre Pots
The first Buddleja to be specifically grown to be compact and therefore ideal for patios. It makes a great gift for beginner gardeners as it is easy to grow and has a long and bountiful flowering season. Each little white floret has an orange eye that is visible when you get close to them for a sniff, and they smell great! But be careful as bees are drawn to their nectar too.

Growing 'Buzz Ivory' Buddleia Bushes
Buddleia will thrive in any sunny position in moist and well-drained soil. In shadier locations they still grow well, but expect them to flower less. They benefit from being cut back hard in early spring during the first half of March. Deadhead regularly to prolong their season. They will need protecting during a hard frost if they are planted in containers.
In Your Garden Design
This makes a novel choice for a patio plant in a large pot as you don't expect Buddlejas on a terrace but this one has been designed especially for the purpose and for smaller borders too where they thrive best. Create a white-themed border by planting alongside Astelia Silver Shadow and Euonymus fortune 'Emerald Gaiety.' White Hydrangeas make excellent companion plants as do Echinacea. A white Cosmos would look pretty in the front; combine with a few Rudbeckia to give a daisy-like colour scheme of white and yellow. For anyone who is pestered by rabbits in their garden, this is an excellent choice as it is said to be rabbit resistant.

Did You Know?
The Buzz collection was created by Suffolk based breeders Thompson & Morgan who wanted to create an easy to grow and compact buddleja ideal for modern smaller gardens and terraces. After eight years of experimentation the Buzz series was created and, hey presto!, the "world's first buddleja patio was born".
