Bareroot

A somewhat dwarf version of Evergreen Oleaster, sharing all its great properties but only reaching about 1.5 metres. In our opinion, it should have an RHS Award of Garden Merit like its parent.
Browse our selection of Coastal hedging or our full range of hedging plants.
Delivery season: Bareroot plants are delivered during late autumn and winter, approximately November-March inclusive.
All of our hedge plants are measured by their height in centimetres above the ground (the pots aren't measured).
Any well drained soil, except solid chalk. Full sun is ideal, but light shade is not a problem. It thrives in poor soil and exposed coastal locations.
It is fully hardy, but may lose its normally evergreen leaves in harsh Scottish winters. This won't harm the plants, and they will grow back in Spring.
Spacing an Oleaster hedge: 3 plants per metre, 33 centimetres apart, is ideal.
