About This Product

Malus Hereford Redstreak

Hereford Redstreak apples are red-striped and of medium size. Generally the fruit ripens in October although it can be a little later in the North. It is an upright quite vigorous tree that flowers and crops younger than many cider apples do. Yield is good although Hereford Redstreak trees have a strong tendency to crop on alternate years. The fruit juices well and is ideal for a mild bittersweet cider. The apples are quite thin skinned which means they are prone to rot on the ground if left uncollected for any length of time.
