Synaeda Amor is a triumph tulip in soft lilac-pink — a colour that reads as gentle and romantic without being saccharine. Triumph tulips are the mid-season workhorses: they flower in April and May, bridge the gap between the early singles and the late doubles, and their stems are strong enough to stand up to spring weather without flopping.
At 40cm, Synaeda Amor is compact enough for the front of a border or a generous container. The single, goblet-shaped flowers are classic tulip form — clean, architectural, and excellent for cutting. A row along a path or a cluster in a terracotta pot is all you need for a quiet spring statement.
The lilac tone pairs beautifully with white — try Candy Prince (pale violet) or white hyacinths for a tonal scheme. For contrast, golden daffodils provide a lively partner. Browse our full tulip collection.
We grade every batch of bulbs by hand. Undersized or soft bulbs get rejected. What you receive are premium-grade, Dutch-grown bulbs with the energy to flower strongly in their first season. Delivered by courier, guaranteed, and backed by Which? Best Plant Supplier. Somerset-based team on the phone if you need advice. Browse the full bulb collection.
The largest group of tulips. Triumph tulips flower in mid-spring (April–May), have strong stems, and come in almost every colour. They are the reliable all-rounders of the tulip world. Browse our full tulip range.
Well suited to containers. At 40cm, the stems stay manageable and the compact habit looks tidy in a pot. Plant bulbs 15cm deep, 8cm apart, in multi-purpose compost with good drainage. Water if the compost dries out.
October to November. Tulips prefer cooler soil than most bulbs, so later planting is better. Full timing advice in our planting calendar.
