Timeless Charisma is a warm apricot-peach Hybrid Tea with large double high-centred blooms and moderate sweet fragrance, flowering reliably from June to October. This is a rose bred for consistency and easy care in UK gardens, delivering classic form with modern garden reliability.
Timeless Charisma belongs to the Timeless collection, a series developed specifically for gardeners who want the classic beauty of a Hybrid Tea without the fuss. The warm apricot-peach colouring is neither strident nor pale — it sits in that genuinely pleasing middle ground where it works with almost any garden scheme. The large double blooms are high-centred in the traditional way, which means they open from a perfect pointed bud into a full, shapely flower that looks as good in a vase as it does on the plant.
Height-wise, at 80cm (2.5ft), Timeless Charisma is compact enough for a mixed border yet substantial enough to make a proper statement. Flowering begins in June and continues through to October with regular deadheading and a feed or two. The repeat cycle is reliable — you won't find yourself staring at bare stems in August. The moderate sweet fragrance is genuine rather than subtle, which matters more than most marketing copy suggests.
This rose has been bred for reliability and consistent performance in UK conditions. That means it's designed to cope with our unpredictable summers and cool autumns without sulking. It responds well to proper planting, good drainage, and an annual prune, but it won't demand constant rescue missions or chemical intervention.
Plant in full sun — at least six hours daily — and in soil that drains reasonably well. Hybrid Teas are not waterlogged roses. Dig a proper planting hole, break up the base, add blood, fish and bone, and backfill with a mix of soil and compost. Space 60cm apart if planting multiples. In late February or early March, prune out any dead or crossing wood, then cut back the main canes by about one-third. In summer, deadhead spent blooms to within two or three leaves of a outward-facing bud, and repeat-feeders like Timeless Charisma will reward you with another flush.
Water well during the first growing season and during dry spells. A mulch of garden compost in spring helps retain moisture and adds structure to the soil. These roses do not need staking unless your garden is exceptionally exposed.
The large high-centred form of Timeless Charisma makes it an excellent choice for cutting — the blooms last well in water and open gracefully in the vase. Equally, it holds its own as a specimen plant or a focal point in a mixed border. The apricot-peach tone partners beautifully with cream, soft yellow, or purple-leaved companions, and the height is ideally suited to underplanting with catmint or geraniums.
Timeless Charisma benefits from thoughtful planting companions. Soft purple lavender or catmint at the base echoes the complexity of the bloom colour and adds late-season structure. Clematis trained through or near the rose adds another layer of interest — try clematis in cream or purple. Ornamental alliums provide spring and early summer colour before the rose comes into its own. For a mixed border, pair with soft yellow daylilies or pale pink herbaceous perennials like geraniums or compatible shrub roses in muted tones.
Our roses are budded onto vigorous rootstock and grown for us by specialist producers who understand what British gardens demand. We've won the Which? Gardening Best Plant Supplier award and hold the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award. See our full Hybrid Tea rose collection.
Bare root roses are planted November to March when dormant. Potted plants can go in year-round but establish best in autumn or spring. Avoid planting during hard frost or waterlogged soil.
It reaches approximately 80cm (2.5ft) in height when mature. This is manageable for most borders and responds well to pruning if you prefer a more compact form.
The Timeless collection is bred for reliability in UK gardens. Good air circulation, regular deadheading, and proper feeding reduce disease pressure. Treat any issues as they arise rather than on a preventative schedule.
Yes, the compact habit suits container growing. Use a large pot (at least 45cm), fill with rose-specific or high-quality multi-purpose compost, and water consistently. Feed monthly during the growing season.
Deadhead spent blooms regularly, feed with balanced rose fertiliser every three weeks during the growing season, and ensure at least six hours of direct sun daily. Consistent watering during dry spells also supports repeat flowering.
