Wedding Day - Rambling Rose

A huge rose, the Wedding Day rose produces large trusses of apricot-coloured buds that open into highly scented, creamy white flowers with yellow stamens. Shade tolerant, when young, a Wedding Day rose is best planted so it can scramble into a well established tree or ramble over an unsightly outbuilding.

The health warning that comes with Wedding day and other large ramblers is that - we repeat - they are huge. This means that they need a very well prepared planting hole and plenty of water until established. It also means that a Wedding Day rose is a very heavy thing when full grown. So grow it into established but healthy trees, over buildings with strong roof trees or solid pergolas.

A wonderful addition to any large garden, Wedding Day can climb to 10 metres. Like all ramblers, Wedding Day only flowers once a season - but it is a sight to behold.
