Bridal Crown Daffodil – Clusters of Scented White-and-Gold Doubles
Like a perfect hard-boiled egg, each Bridal Crown flower is pure white with a bright orange-yellow centre. Each stem carries a cluster of these double blooms — three or four per stem is typical — which gives a lavish display from relatively few bulbs. The scent is sweet and strong, carrying well on still spring air. The RHS AGM confirms reliable performance across UK conditions.
At 40cm, Bridal Crown is a well-behaved border daffodil that also excels in pots and cutting gardens. The multi-headed stems mean fewer bulbs create a fuller effect, and the fragrance makes it worth planting near a door or window where the scent can drift indoors.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many flowers per stem?
Three to four double blooms per stem, each white with a bright yellow-orange centre. This multi-headed habit gives generous displays from fewer bulbs.
Is Bridal Crown fragrant?
Strongly. The sweet scent is one of the main reasons to grow this variety. Plant where you will walk past regularly — the fragrance is strongest on warm, still days.
Will Bridal Crown come back every year?
Reliably. Daffodils are excellent perennials. Leave the foliage for six weeks after flowering to recharge the bulbs for next year. Divide congested clumps in late summer.
