Description

Alec's Red Hybrid Tea Rose

Alec's Red is just a really good 'doer'. It is the classic red rose, producing masses of large, very fragrant, many-petalled, crimson/cherry-red flowers. The growth is vigorous, bushy and healthy with dark green foliage and good repeat flowering. The roses are good for cutting and arranging and are scented enough to perfume a room. And they have stood the test of time; Alec's Red was bred by Cockers Roses in 1970 and has been a best seller since then.

So if you like big red roses then this is one for your shopping list. We generally recommend planting bush roses in triangular groups of three for maximum effect. At about 3ft tall Alec's Red is not the biggest rose bush so placing them between 2-3 ft apart will do very well.
