Pegs Ground Cover Materials

Black plastic pegs made from recycled material. These are used to hold down both Mulch mats and Polypropylene weed control fabric.  The pegs are 15cm (6") long and are barbed to ensure firm anchorage in the soil.

You can buy these pegs to hold down:

• Sheets of plastic mulch fabric for hedges.
  (2 per metre - 1 placed each of the sheet)
• Square bio-degradable mulch mats for trees.
  (5 per square is enough - 1 on each corner & 1 on the slit in the middle.

But you can also use them for securing netting anywhere in the garden (across ponds or at the bottom of soft fruit cages) for example or for holding down other light materials such as horticultural fleece.

Please note that metal spikes (which we do not sell) should be used where the ground is either very stony or is heavy soil, baked hard.
