Buxus sempervirens - Box Plants
Common Box, Buxus sempervirens, also known as a Boxwood tree, and its much smaller cultivar, Dwarf Box, Buxus sempervirens Suffruticosa, are classic hedge plants for low hedging, topiary, knot gardens and parterres. All Box varieties are evergreen, shade tolerant and very easy to maintain. Dwarf box is best for very low, decorative work, while a Common box hedge can become several metres tall over the years if you want it to.
