Blooming right after the snowdrops get going, bulb type Anemones (Spring Flowering) are a hallmark of old forests. Part of the buttercup family, many of them look similar to daisies.They grow well in any well drained soil, and take advantage of dappled sunlight in woodlands before the trees above them come into leaf.

Anemone nemorosa is the native British species, which we don't grow: the varieties we grow are generally native to Europe and the Near East. 

There are also perennial, non-bulb type Anemones, which we don't sell.
