Moment in Time won Rose of the Year in 2012 and holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for good reason: it flowers almost without a break from June into November, in clusters of simple, semi-double red blooms held on a naturally compact, ground-hugging plant.

A Compact Red That Doesn't Stop Flowering

Rarely taller than 60cm, Moment in Time is more ground-cover sized than a typical Floribunda, with healthy, glossy leaves that are almost hidden under the weight of flower clusters through the season. The colour is a genuinely vivid pillar-box red, and the flowering is so continuous that deadheading is more of a chore than a necessity — the plant barely pauses to need it.

When is the best time to prune a Floribunda rose?

Late February to early March — cut stems back hard to 30 to 40cm, just above an outward-facing bud. Hard pruning gives the best display; Floribundas respond well to it. Our pruning guide covers it step by step.
