Arabis alpina caucasica 'Snowcap': 1 Litre Pot-Grown Plants

Wild Arabis in bloom growing from a crack in a rock is about as pretty as rocks get, and the cultivar Snowcap is full of vigour in both leaf and flower. The small, profuse white flowers in Spring are sweetly fragrant.

Growing Arabis 'Snowcap'

These hardy mountain plants need sharp drainage and full sun.
They like dry, quite poor soils, especially limestone and chalk, and are drought tolerant when established.

Please note: If you receive your plants in late Autumn or during winter, it is better not to plant them outside until the weather warms up in Spring. They won't establish well in cold soil, and there is a small risk of them failing as a result.

In Your Garden Design

Arabis is good ground cover for sunny rockeries and the South facing front of borders where it isn't overshadowed.

Did You Know?

Snowcap is a German cultivar, so its original name is Schneehaube.

Planting Instructions

Trim leaves after flowering. Divide clumps every three years.
