Crazy Love is a decorative dahlia in soft pink and white, the kind of flower that looks as if it was bred for wedding bouquets. The petals blend the two colours gently, with more white towards the edges and more pink towards the centre, giving each 12cm bloom a romantic, watercolour quality.
At 90cm with a 60cm spread, it's compact enough for mid-border or a large pot. It flowers from July to the frosts and produces blooms in quantity. The soft colour makes it one of the easiest dahlias to place in a mixed scheme.
The pink-and-white tones suit pastel and romantic schemes. Plant alongside Arbatax (white with lilac-pink edges) and Gerrie Hoek (shell pink waterlily, 120cm behind) for a gentle pink gradient. White cosmos and late sweet peas are natural seasonal companions.
Our dahlia tubers are Dutch first-class quality, imported direct and hand-graded. We discard undersized tubers so you get a clump with viable eyes, ready to grow. Delivered by next-day courier from March, with our one-year plant guarantee, Feefo Platinum Service Award, and gardeners in Somerset on the end of the phone. The soft pink-and-white colour is practically made for wedding work. The 12cm flowers are a good scale for bouquets and the colour works in almost any romantic scheme.
At 90cm it works well in a container of at least 30cm across. Feed fortnightly, water regularly. Our pots guide covers the detail.
Arbatax is white with a fine pink edge that deepens as blooms age. Crazy Love is a more even pink-and-white blend. Both are soft and romantic, both are 90cm. Plant them together for a pastel scheme with subtle variation. Full growing advice in our dahlia growing guide.
