Peaches is a ball dahlia in soft light pink with warm orange spots and blushes that appear on some petals, giving each flower a peachy, sun-kissed quality. The 8cm blooms are tightly spiralled in the classic ball form, compact and neat.
At 90cm with a 50cm spread, it's a manageable plant for mid-border or a large pot. The soft colour works in pastel schemes and the ball form adds structure among looser flower shapes. It flowers from July to November.
The soft peach-pink mixes naturally with warm pastels. Plant alongside Wine Eyed Jill (peach-and-purple ball, 90cm) for a warm ball-dahlia pairing. Cafe au Lait (milky coffee dinnerplate behind) continues the soft tones at larger scale. Japanese anemones are natural companions.
Our dahlia tubers are Dutch first-class quality, imported direct and hand-graded by us. We discard undersized tubers so you get a clump with viable eyes, ready to grow. Delivered by next-day courier from March, with our one-year plant guarantee, Feefo Platinum Service Award, and human support from the team in Somerset. The 8cm ball form is a perfect bouquet size, and the soft colour mixes easily with other flowers. Cut only fully open blooms.
At 90cm it works well in a container of at least 30cm across. Feed fortnightly, water regularly. Our pots guide covers the options.
The orange blushes and spots vary from flower to flower. Some blooms are more pink, others more peachy. The overall effect is soft and warm. Full growing advice in our dahlia growing guide.
