Description

Zinnia Queen Lime Red

If you like an unusual flower, then Queen Lime Red is perfect! It is a versatile plant that you can use with confidence, as it has been awarded the Fleuroselect Approved Novelty Award. It doesn't scream its unique colouring at you; it has a shabby chic, almost retro feel. The muted red outer petals fade to lime green towards the deep maroon centre, quite unlike the loud, brash zinnias most of us are used to, which you can browse here.

Great In Your Garden...

Growing to a maximum of 75cm tall, this is an excellent gap filler in a hot, sunny border, and it works well with a host of other plants, especially white and pale colours, or oranges, crimsons and cerise pinks. The antique-coloured flowers will suit cottage gardens just as well as more modern planting designs.
Plants are well-branched, with an upright habit.

It works well in container displays, especially on a sheltered, sunny patio and around a seating area where you can appreciate it.

Like most Zinnias, it makes an excellent cut flower, from a single stem in a plain glass vase to part of a country-style or modern arrangement. It has a vase life of up to two weeks.
