Growing Rose Carpet Sedums

Sedums like full sun, but light shade is fine, in a south or west-facing border, on well-drained neutral or slightly alkaline soil. They do well in a pot on a sunny patio.

In Your Garden Design

Sedums' cool, architectural foliage suits a contemporary scheme, and their colourful flowers extend the season of interest in cottage gardens, perhaps alongside catmints and salvias. They go well in informal arrangements with grasses, rudbeckias, asters and Verbena bonariensis

Cultivation Instructions

Dig in garden compost or leaf mould when planting, in sun or very light shade. Space 50cm apart and water in well. Keep watered until established. Cut down spent stems in late winter. You may need to provide support. Divide congested clumps in spring.
