Twotone Labyrinth: A Soft Lilac-Pink Dinnerplate

Twotone Labyrinth is a decorative dinnerplate dahlia in soft lilac-pink and white. The 20cm flowers are ruffled and feminine, with the two colours blending gently through the broad petals. It's the softer, cooler sibling to Red Labyrinth, same form but a completely different mood.

At 90cm with a 75cm spread, it needs staking but is shorter than most dinnerplates. It flowers from July to the frosts.

Companions for Twotone Labyrinth

The lilac-pink works in pastel and romantic schemes. Plant with Gerrie Hoek (shell pink waterlily, 120cm behind) for a pink scheme in two flower forms. White Onesta (white with green centres, 90cm) provides a calming break. Moor Place (deep purple pompon, 110cm) adds depth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Twotone Labyrinth compare to Red Labyrinth?

Same dinnerplate decorative form, different colour. Red Labyrinth is warm reds and pinks. Twotone Labyrinth is cooler lilac-pink and white. Plant them together for a beautiful colour range in matching forms.

Will Twotone Labyrinth grow in a pot?

The 20cm flowers make it too top-heavy for containers. Grow in a border with staking. Our pots guide covers what works.

Is it good for cutting?

The soft lilac-pink is lovely in arrangements, especially wedding work. Cut only fully open blooms. Full growing advice in our dahlia growing guide.
