Description

Madame Gregoire Staechelin Climbing Rose Bushes

Madame Gregoire Staechelin is a really vigorous climbing rose with masses of soft pink, semi-double flowers and very decorative buds. The aroma is similar to that of a sweet pea flower. Flowers only once in the season, but it is well worth it due to the lovely rosehips in Autumn. Great disease resistance. To 20ft.

See our full range of climbing roses.

Sold under the names La Belle Espagnole or Spanish Beauty in other countries. Bred by the great Spanish rosarian Pedro Dot (1885 - 1976) in the 1920's, and named after the wife of the Swiss-German building contractor, Gregor Staechelin. The parents were Frau Karl Druschki and Château de Clos Vougeot. Nevada is perhaps Señor Dot's most famous invention.
