Dahlia Lakeland Autumn

If unusual flowers appeal to you, Lakeland Autumn Dahlias may be right up your street, as it changes colour as it matures from pink through gold to copper! Have a look at the rest of our list of dahlias.

Lakeland Autumn is a medium decorative variety with buds that begin a dark pink. As the with double flowers open yellow petals emerge with edges of a wonderful orange-copper colour. Set off by a bright green stem and foliage, this is a plant that sums up the beauty of late summer.

The flowers reach 10-15cm in diameter and are incredibly eye-catching, especially in the early evening, when the colours seem to glow.

Lakeland Autumn in Your Garden

The wonderful colours of Lakeland Autumn are an ideal way to change the hues of your garden from those of summer to autumn. It's an ideal border plant to go alongside both earlier and later flowering herbaceous perennials, keeping interest going as the seasons change.

Growing to about 1m tall, it makes an excellent mid-border plant and is not too tall for containers, as long as it is properly staked.

Like most dahlias, Lakeland Autumn makes an excellent cut flower as it has a long vase life and holds its petals and shape well.
