Don't bet on finding Lucky Number Dahlias too often! It's a shame but this wonderful classic large decorative dahlia is not as widely available as it should be.

The striking, vibrant double pink flowers with a hint of yellow towards the centres make an enormous statement in late summer gardens. Luck Number is a real 'dinnerplate' dahlia, with blooms that can reach 25cm across. Have a look through the rest of our range of dahlias.

Lucky Number Dahlias in Your Garden...

You can grow Lucky Number in the border, but it needs real support with heavy-duty stakes (get ones at least 120 cm long) and it is hopeless in windy areas - the huge flower heads are susceptible to damage, as they are so heavy.

Given the same treatment in a cutting garden Lucky Number will supply the house with very long-lasting, long-stemmed cut flowers all summer. You can disbud for even larger blooms which, of course, also make excellent subjects for the late summer flower shows' exhibition benches, either as singles or in threes or fives.
