Generally, blackberries are grown along wires, but Loch Tay is an upright variety. You can grow it up a single post or in with a row of raspberries.
Spacing: You can plant Loch Tay quite close together in a row. 4' / 1.2 metres apart is more than enough.

Background Information on Loch Tay Blackberry Bushes:

Bred from the other excellent upright thornless blackberry, Loch Ness, at the former Scottish Crop Research Institute near Dundee, which is now called the James Hutton Institute.
