Crataegus Varieties in Standard Sizes
Hawthorn (Crataegus species) is a wiry, tough and extremely hardy native tree, which is why it (specifically Crataegus monogyna) is Britain's most widely used thorny country hedge plant.
There are also several varieties of Crataegus laevigata that make excellent specimen trees: Crimson Cloud & Paul's Scarlet both have red flowers, Rosea Flore Pleno is pink, and Plena has double white flowers.
All grow to about 8 metres tall.

Standard trees are measured by their girth 1 metre above the ground, and young saplings are measured by height. Therefore, a 6/8cm Standard Hawthorn tree is much bigger than an 60/80cm sapling Hawthorn tree. If a tree is available in both sizes, it will be noted in the product descriptions.
All our Hawthorn trees are covered by our no-quibble Guarantee, which means you can order with complete confidence. Free delivery on orders over £120. Best advice & friendly support throughout.
