Description of Jacqueline du Pre Roses:
Jacqueline du Pre is a leafy shrub rose that, after a first flush, flowers at intervals through the summer and into autumn. The white, strongly scented flowers have an open shape with beautiful saffron-pink anthers in the centre; perfect for cutting and admiring up close in a vase. This is a medium-sized, very healthy shrub rose which likes a little space as it is fairly spreading in habit being nearly as wide as it is tall. Jacqueline du Pre is pretty trouble-free and is a very good choice if you are looking for a rose to do well on poor soils. It can grow pretty well in a large container or pot.

Jacqueline du Pre was bred in Britain in 1989 as a cross between Radox Bouquet and Maigold and is named after the brilliant cellist who, suffering from multiple sclerosis, had to stop performing at the tragically young age of 28. Jacqueline du Pre fought the disease for another 14 years until her death at the age of 42 in 1987.
